Rapid prototyping is an important step in the development of the part design as you develop your custom plastic part (and the custom mold to create it). After a product has been designed using up-to-date software, it can be taken to the next level in the custom mold design process.

CNC machining

Pittsfield Plastics has an extensive investment in computers and computer machining systems. We have developed systems that allow us to be a leader in precision machining in a variety of plastic resins. We can machine ABS, PVC, Nylon, PEEK PET, PP, HDPE, and many others. Using CNC machining centers, with tool changers, we can produce any three-axis product design in a fast and dimensionally accurate manner.

3D modeling services

A 3D model file can be turned into a prototype made from durable ABS, the material of choice for most modeling. ABS can be machined, glued, painted, printed on or polished. The model is constructed in .010 layers with exceptional tolerances.
